SportSlate is a schedule app for families. This page says plainly what it stores, why, and how to get rid of it. No ads, no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
What we store
- Your account: email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and the first name you enter.
- Your family's schedule: the calendar links you paste, the games and practices those links contain, your kids' first names and colors, the names of drivers, and any events you type in or read from a screenshot.
- Who's driving and what's changed: driver assignments and a rolling 14-day log of schedule changes so we can show you what moved.
- Venue locations: when a feed includes a field address, we look up its coordinates so we can show weather and estimate drive time between venues. Only the address is looked up, nothing about you.
- Sunday email setting and when we last sent it.
Everything is stored in Cloudflare's key-value storage, in the same account that runs the app. Kids never have accounts; we store first names only, entered by a parent.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the app and its storage.
- Resend sends our email (password resets and the Sunday week-ahead email, which is opt-in with a one-tap unsubscribe).
- Anthropic reads schedule screenshots and PDFs when you use "Screenshot or PDF." The file is sent to Anthropic's API to extract the events and is not kept by SportSlate afterward.
- US Census Geocoder and OpenStreetMap Nominatim turn venue addresses into coordinates; Open-Meteo supplies the weather forecast.
- Your team apps (TeamSnap, GameChanger, PlayMetrics, or any calendar link) are read the same way your phone's calendar would read them. We don't log in to them and don't have your passwords for them.
Share links
Your family's share link shows the schedule (read-only) to anyone who has it, with no login. Treat it like a house key: send it to people you'd hand a printed schedule to. Deleting the account retires the link.
Cookies
One cookie, sl_s, keeps you signed in. That's it. (A second, adm, exists only for our own admin page.)
Deleting your data
Manage → Settings → Delete my account removes your login immediately. If you're the last adult in the family, the whole schedule — feeds, events, drivers, change log, share link — is deleted with it. You can also email support@sportslate.app and we'll do it for you.
Children
SportSlate is for parents and guardians. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and the only thing we hold about a child is the first name a parent typed in.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app and update the date at the top.
